Clear2Pay wins Financial-I ‘Leaders in Innovation’ award

Second year running recognition as the leading innovative e-payments provider

Brussels, Monday 3 December, 2007 – Clear2Pay, the international technology provider of next generation payment solutions for financial institutions has been awarded the Financial-I ‘Leaders in Innovation Award’ for its e-payment solutions for the second year running. With this award Financial-I provides recognition for banks and systems/solutions providers shaping the delivery of business solutions in wholesale transaction banking.

In its second year Financial-I added appointed an Advisory Board which consists of Industry Analysts and thought leaders. The members of the Advisory Board made a selection of companies to be nominated from the initial short list. Criteria included: cost effectiveness, ability to solve common issues (STP etc.), enhance overall efficiency and to deliver bank to bank and bank to consumer communications.

The Advisory Board(1) stated: “The ‘Leaders in Innovation Award’ is not about rewarding the banks and vendors with the largest marketshare or the most revenues. It is about recognising those companies that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to innovation. Twelve months is a long time in the innovation stakes, so even though companies may have been judged innovation leaders last year, we have focused on what they and their competitors have done in the last 12 months to build and improve on these innovations”.
(1) Members of the Advisory Board included: Steve Craggs (Saint Consulting), Cubillas Ding (Celent), Susan Feinberg (TowerGroup), Richard Hogsflesh (R&M Surveys), Phlip Howard (Bloor), Neil Katkov (Celent Asia), Frédéric Ponzo (NET2S), Andy Sanderson (BearingPoint).

Mark Hartley, VP Strategy and Marketing at Clear2Pay states: “It is clear that our dedication to a strategy, embarked upon nearly five years ago is getting recognition from industry observers and clients alike. Our focus of delivering niche functionality on a service oriented platform enables us to achieve the jury criteria. We are uniquely geared to making payments environments more agile, flexible, cost effective, resilient and efficient, which is of vital importance to financial institutions around the world that face both global and regional challenges. We understand that the jury process was even more in-depth than last year when we won the award and therefore our satisfaction for winning this award is now even greater. This means a lot to our teams around the world who work relentlessly on a wide range of development and implementation projects and therefore this is mostly their award.”
