Clear2Pay runner-up in EU supported Gate2Growth Venture Contest

Clear2Pay best ICT venture, finishing second after a life science company

Brussels, 19 December 2005 – Clear2Pay, a leading supplier of next generation payments technology solutions claimed second place (and first amongst its peer ICT finalists) during the final presentation round of 13 remaining contestants at the European Gate2Growth Venture Contest, during the Gate2Growth Summit on the 13 th of December in Berlin. Gate2Growth is a European Union supported initiative organized to identify, acknowledge and award high technology based companies in Europe.

Clear2Pay, founded in 2001, was selected out of 300 companies across Europe that had entered the competition, which was open to early to mid-stage ventures active in life sciences, ICT and other innovative technologies. The jury comprised of Europe’s leading venture capital fund managers and investment analysts praised Clear2Pay on the following criteria for success:

  • Attractiveness
  • Competitive advantage
  • Market approach and perspective
  • Quality of the management team
