Job Description

As an Architect, you will design/adapt/validate the architecture of a customer project or product delivery based on our Open Payments Framework. You will write detailed technical specifications and you will help the developers solve the architecture/technology related issues on a project. You will liaise with business analyst to understand the needs.

Responsibilities

  • Technical architecture of product components or customer project deliveries.
  • Team leader of development team building the corresponding product component or project delivery
  • Deliver agreed requirements within tight timeframes. In particulat, you will pro-actively identify and fix issues that could have a impact on planning, complexity, performances and security in early architectural and designe phases and propose solutions to a the team and the customer

Requirements

  • Very good knowledge of the J2EE platform and J2EE design patterns, persistence frameworks.
  • Strong experience with EJB, XML, JDBC, JSP, Taglibs, Oracle, Hibernate, JUnit and Webservices.
  • Preferably also knowledge of Struts, BPEL & IBM Websphere

Other Requirements

  • Good social contacts, team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Minimum 10 years of experience required.
  • Very committed: will require very strong commitments at peak times
  • Flexible as well in job content as in planning (collaboration with teams in different time zones)
  • Willing to travel
  • Pragmatic
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self-disciplined and motivated
  • Ability to prioritize and self manage time and tasks
  • Experience with the development of financial software applications is a plus
  • Fluent in English.
