Clear2Pay ‘runner-up’ in door de EU gesteunde ‘Gate2Growth Venture Contest’

Clear2Pay komt als beste ICT ‘venture’ tweede na een life-science bedrijf

Brussels, 19 december 2005 – Clear2Pay, technologieleverancier van ‘next generation’ betalingstoepassingen voor financiële instellingen en corporates heeft de tweede plaats behaald (en eerste van alle ICT-deelnemers) na een geslaagde presentatie tijdens de finalistenronde waaraan 13 partijen deelnamen in het kader van de ‘European Gate2Growth Venture Contest’, tijdens de ‘Gate2Growth Summit’ op 13 december j.l. in Berlijn. Gate2Growth is een door de Europese Unie gesteund initiatief, dat zich ten doel stelt ‘high tech’ bedrijven in Europa te identificeren, erkennen en belonen.

Clear2Pay, opgericht in 2001, was geselecteerd uit 300 Europese participanten in een competitie waaraan zgn. ‘early to mid-stage ventures’ mochten deelnemen die actief zijn op het gebied van life sciences, ICT en andere innovatieve technologiëen. De jury, bestaande uit fund managers van Europa’s toonaangevende venture capital spelers en analisten, vond Clear2Pay onderscheidend op basis van de volgende succesfactoren:

• Innovatief karakter
• Uitstraling en presentatie
• Concurrentiepositie
• Marktbenadering en perspectief
• Kwaliteit van het management team
