JCB (Japan) certifies Clear2Pay 3-D Secure product
suite:
fully compliant with J/Secure cardholder authentication programme.
Clear2Pay confirms its global ambitions
with complete 3-D Secure solution supporting all card schemes.
Brussels, 25 August 2004 - Clear2Pay, the international
technology provider of next generation payment solutions for financial
institutions has received the compliance certification from JCB
for its 3-D Secure product suite. Element ACS and Element MPI products
support now JCB's J/Secure authentication solution in addition to
Verified by VISA and MasterCard SecureCode.
The Element ACS handles cardholder authentication for Issuers,
authenticating the Payer using Password, Token, Secure device or
GSM. The Element ACS supports powerful back office for administration,
issuers and cardholders. The Element ACS is designed that it can
operate in three different modes: attempt, stand- alone or integrated
(with e-banking). Together with the Cardholder Enrolment Server
facilitating registration and activation of cardholders, the Element
ACS forms the complete Internet payment solution for Issuers. With
this recent certification, it is now also available for JCB issuers.
The Element MPI handles cardholder authentication for Merchants
and Acquirers according to the 3-D Secure protocol. The Element
MPI provides an unprecedented back office enabling configuration
of system and security parameters, and view of authentication transactions
in detail. Together with ProxyPay POS Server and Gateway, the Element
MPI forms the complete Internet payment solution for acquirers.
Like Element ACS, it is now also available for JCB acquirers.
JCB is the 4th international credit card brand and the largest
card issuer/acquirer in Japan, through its alliances with more than
320 leading banks and financial institutions globally. Its merchant
network includes 11.4 million merchants and spans 189 countries
and territories. JCB cards are now issued in 18 countries and territories,
with 49.6 million cardholders.
Ronny Leplae, Vice President at Clear2Pay comments: "Clear2Pay
has a proven track record of successes with its products running
at individual acquirers and issuers, and multi-member processors.
Addition of JCB's J/Secure into our portfolio confirms our commitment
to supply our customers worldwide and in Asia/Pacific region in
particular with complete solutions enabling secure payments over
the Internet." Michel Akkermans, Chairman and CEO of Clear2Pay
adds: "Along with our recent acquisition of Sienna Technologies,
which gave us a physical presence in Australia and Singapore, this
new development confirms our firm plans to expand in the financial
services sector in the Asia/Pacific region."
