Sienna Technologies first with BPAY View Certification
Sydney, 29th August 2002 - Sienna Technologies, (part of Clear2Pay)
a leading provider of electronic payment and delivery solutions,
has become the first Australian software company to have its EBPP
product certified with BPAY View for use by Payer Institutions.
Sienna's EBPP solution is BillView Integrator, an open flexible
solution for banks and Payer Institutions that need to integrate
with BPAY View. BillView Integrator supports all the required functionality
to rapidly connect any organisation's On-Line Banking system to
the BPAY View service, minimising certification and integration
costs and delivering a faster return on investment.
"We have worked closely with BPAY to become the first Australian
software company to achieve Payer Institution certification,"
said Nigel Holman, Sienna's Chief Executive Officer.
"Our product offers Payer Institutions a more cost effective
and faster time to market alternative to building an in-house solution.
Being Australian designed and developed gives us a distinct market
edge because we can more rapidly respond to any changes in the BPAY
scheme, as and when they occur, and help keep our customers at the
forefront of BPAY View certification."
"We are pleased to officially welcome Sienna Technologies
as a BPAY certified Payer Institution solution provider," said
Andrew Arnott, the General Manager of BPAY. "We congratulate
them on their hard work in achieving this certification."
Currently, more than 8,000 billers accept BPAY payments. In a typical
month, Australians use BPAY to pay over 7.5 million bills with a
value of more than $3 billion. Of these transactions, 53 per cent
are processed through Internet banking services. Approximately 2.8
million Australians are registered Internet banking customers.
