Bank Card Company opts for ClearPark
as VISA Purchasing Card acceptance solution.

Bank Card Company, the Belgian market leader in credit cards and the local representative of VISA, aims to sweep the Belgian market with the VISA Purchasing Card and has chosen for this task the B2Bi platform ClearPark.

ClearPark represents a secure online service for the clearance of VISA Purchasing Card transactions for all kinds of enterprises.

ClearPark provides a simple way to accept the VISA Purchasing Card at suppliers active in the business-to-business market of mainly non-production goods and reoccurring purchases.

The B2Bi (business-to-business integration) platform developed by Clear2Pay (Tectrade), which is built on Microsoft.Net technology, means that suppliers will see transactions carried out with the VISA Purchasing Card converted into instant payments in a simple, fast and integrated way. These instantaneous authorised payments will save them from having to chase outstanding invoices.

“Because of the daily payments, the cash flow of suppliers is significantly increased. Moreover, the effort put into following up on debtors is minimalised.” says Wim Pardon, Head of Corporate Accounts at Bank Card Company.

ClearPark takes care of the optimal processing of all purchases made with the VISA Purchasing Card, which further optimises the cost savings of the VISA Purchasing Card. The use of web services underlines the openness of the system for a smooth integration with heterogeneous platforms like ERP packages or e-market places.”

For transactions that are processed by ClearPark, the supplier no longer needs to prepare a written invoice. Instead, Bank Card Company combines all transactions for a given VISA Purchasing Card user monthly. It delivers the legal and fiscal document to be entered into the VISA Purchasing Card user's accounts and this global invoice covers all his/her purchases with the VISA Purchasing Card(s).

According to Wim Pardon, 20% of the purchasing volume of nearly all companies represents around 80% of all invoices. It is these 80% that are eligible for purchase with the VISA Purchasing Card. This means that these invoices no longer have to be processed manually, resulting in a huge cost saving.

ClearPark makes intensive use of XML, SOAP, .NET web services and Microsoft BizTalk Server. The latter allows communication between the web service and the VISA Access Point, the connection with the VISA network.
