Consultant CBK (M/F)

Introduction

Clear2Pay Belgium has built a specific software package “CBK” designed for processing of disputed transactions in the credit/debit MasterCard/ Visa card business. The CBK package can be described as a back-office and database application combining Financial Processing (accounting events), CRM functions (customer relationship management tools) and the management of specific Visa & MasterCard Clearing and Operational Rules (credit card business) to process the litigations between the card Issuers and the transaction Acquirers.

CBK software package is to be considered as a “niche software product” marketed worldwide, currently in 17 countries. Clear2Pay Belgium has a leading position on this market since more than 15 years.

CBK package is being updated every 6 months due to the changing Visa & MasterCard clearing rules. In addition Clear2Pay Belgium develops on a regular basis new functionality and frequently integrates the application within the customer’s local host systems.

Scope of work

For Junior and/or Senior Consultants

• package installations (internal and at customer site)
• package configurations per customer
• support in testing
• problem analysis (log analysis, customer request management, verifying the problems, reporting to development)
• work around definitions
• training to the customers
• testing at the company site
• testing at the customer site
• reporting the customer requests
• business objects report definitions (management & financial reporting)
• package users guide editing
• internal documentation updates
• project management
• account management (per customer)

For Senior consultants: (in addition to the above list)

• demonstration sessions to the interested potential customers
• initial demonstration or workshop visits to the potential customers
• configuration scripts building
• business analysis
• support in sales process

Position within CBK activity

• behaving as a Supplier to Customers
• behaving as Client of Testing team
• reporting to Head of Professional Services
• collaborating with Product Manager – External Delivery Manager
• a member of a team “Chargeback Business Unit” (+/- 25 staff members, including software developers, testers, help desk, sales & marketing, legal, consultants, product managers and business analysts)

Skills needed

• interested in the financial and “CRM – like” package management
• skills in databases handling, SQL, Windows, script definitions
• logical thinking and well organised
• speaking/writing English fluently (other languages highly appreciated)
• willing to travel (short travels only, including USA and potentially Australia)
• good human communications, skilled in giving training
• interested in business analysis (data flows, financial rules, electronic transactions MasterCard & Visa)
• not afraid to deal with IT technologies (PC, databases, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel)
• “team worker”
  

Additional appreciated skills

• understanding the JAVA log files
• having some commercial skills
  

Career path

• Junior Consultants can progress to the positions of Senior Consultants, Key Account Managers and Business Analysts

• Senior Consultant can progress to Product Manager positions and to Sales & Marketing responsibilities aiming high Business developments

• Senior Consultants can as well assume managerial responsibilities as Test Team Manager or as Support Team Manager in parallel to their involvement in the Sales process and Key Account management
• Sales/Marketing responsibilities are given frequently to Senior Consultants

The positions of CBK Consultants allow the candidates to acquire both business and technological skills as needed for the product management, services, operations and sales & marketing of financial software packages using high level IT technologies.
